Always been intrigued by Felicia's design - found out eventually that she's supposed to be a Bakeneko, which in Japanese culture is an 'evolved' cat (look it up if you like. I find these things interesting) and I've always wondered how they got away with her 'outfit', being so risque and all. She's practically nekkid... but I love her playful, childish and innocent personality too ^^ Excuse to draw another suggestive pic haha

I like a bit of drama in my drawings so I went with emphasizing the curves in her design - hopefully in a tasteful way :D Her BIG hair was also fun. Instead of colouring it in a blue or purple, I made it kinda iridescent to add another dimension of interest.

You can see the different stages of the process here

This is really amazing. I would LOVE to know what software you used to color this. I colored a Felicia of my own & used photoshop.

Thank you very much!  I do everything from beginning to end in Photoshop too and here's my snapshot of the process :) Felicia Process by TixieLix

You too. It's really great to know that you can still accomplish a lot with just photoshop. I've asked around a ton & people tend to use SAI or Painter. But I have zero experience in those two software. But looking at your art really made it clear that photoshop is enough.

Well then you'd be pleased to know that Photoshop is pretty much what most of the pros use - of course learning a few more programs can't hurt, but PS is a must if you had to choose one out of all of them.  It's just so powerful and has limitless potential as long as you explore and experiment with your tools - that's how I learnt and developed my skills and techniques because I don't really like following tutorials (they tend to focus on teaching you how to replicate someon else's style rather than show you the means to develop your own)

And I see you're friends with Miss Gidget too :D
